Privacy & Data Protection Policy

1. Overview & Absolute Commitment

Welcome to Taskfy, an intelligent productivity and life organization operating system developed by Omar Tolba (dev.omartolba@gmail.com). We believe personal productivity data is deeply private. We do not sell, rent, monetize, or lease your personal data or productivity records to advertisers or data brokers under any circumstances.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account Credentials: Name, email address, and profile photo when signing up directly or through Google Sign-In.
  • Productivity & Life Data: Tasks, subtasks, habits, streaks, notes, team workspaces, energy logs, and gamification XP progression.
  • Voice & Audio Input: Audio notes captured via Voice-to-Task dictation are processed strictly to transcribe and structure actionable tasks with zero secondary use.
  • Diagnostics & Stability: Anonymized crash logs and device metrics to maintain optimal multi-platform performance.
3. Google API Services & Limited Use Compliance

Taskfy integrates with select Google services upon your explicit authorization to provide seamless productivity capabilities:

A. Google Sign-In (openid, email, profile)

Used exclusively to authenticate your identity, secure your cloud account, and synchronize your user profile.

B. Google Calendar API (calendar.events)

Used strictly upon user request to create and sync Taskfy tasks, time-blocks, and deadlines with your personal Google Calendar. Taskfy never reads or alters non-Taskfy personal events.

C. Google Drive API (drive.appdata & drive.file)

Used solely to store encrypted Taskfy database backups inside your private Application Data folder and store task-specific attachments. Taskfy has zero access to your other Google Drive files.

Taskfy's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

• No Advertising: Google user data is never used for advertising, behavioral profiling, or market research.

• No Model Training: Google data is never used to train generalized artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models.

• No Human Review: No human engineers read your private backup files or calendar events.

4. Artificial Intelligence & Privacy Safeguards

Taskfy incorporates cutting-edge AI (such as Google Gemini) to power the AI Goal Architect, AI Life Coach, and natural language parser. All prompts are processed securely over TLS 1.3 channels. User prompt data is not retained by third-party model providers to train foundation models.

5. Security, AES-256 Storage & Encryption

Your information is encrypted both in transit (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS) and at rest (AES-256) within Google Cloud Firebase infrastructure. Access to production databases is restricted with strict role-based access control and continuous audit monitoring.

6. User Control, Export & Permanent Deletion Rights

Under GDPR and CCPA, you retain unconditional rights to your data:

  • Instant In-App Deletion: Tap Profile > Settings > Delete Account inside the mobile app to permanently erase your account and all database entries immediately.
  • Dedicated Web Portal Deletion: Visit taskfy.online/data-deletion.
  • Google Scopes Revocation: Revoke permissions anytime via Google Account Security.
